Allow me to introduce myself...
Background:
At my core, I'm an artist, businesswoman, and all-around adventurous person. I've always been involved with the arts, enjoying the process of innovation, problem-solving, and hands-on creation. Delving deep into all mediums where I find beauty and meaning is something I've enjoyed my entire life. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a paintbrush, then later, a camera. Through these tools, I discovered that my passion for the arts translated well through both paint and photography. The rest, as they say, is history. I honestly believe my contribution to society and greater purpose lies in producing art from a unique, heart-centered, authentic perspective. As I grow, my goal is to make the world a better place through meaningful artistry.
Photography:
As a teenager in 2010, I took my first introductory photography class. Capturing live concert photos at local shows, portraits of friends, and creative self-portraits fueled my early work. Now, with over 15 years of experience behind the lens, I've completed numerous classes, workshops, and collaborations to cultivate both my creative and technical skills to their current level. Overall, I find much inspiration for my photos in mythology, classical art, and vintage aesthetics. Boudoir photography is my specialty, uplifting women through empowered imagery. If I could describe my images and signature style of art in three words, they'd be: vivid, elegant, and timeless.
Business & Photo Career:
In 2018, I founded my photography business while working multiple part-time jobs. Finally, I took a leap of faith in 2020 when I left my day job and began working on creative endeavors full-time. I'm proud to say that I've been growing in my industry and artistry ever since. My specialty is in luxury boudoir, although I do love capturing portraits and intimate weddings/elopements. Additionally, I enjoy working with local businesses on their brand imagery. Sometimes, I still capture concerts or provide live coverage at music festivals. My objective is to bring originality, innovation, and a relaxing demeanor to every photo shoot. When I'm behind the lens, bringing my client's stories to life, I feel a genuine sense of purpose and ingenuity. Through every image, I work to highlight the beautiful aspects of life, love, and humanity.
Studio 97:
With my creative space and online store, Studio 97, I've been able to take my eye for design, love for painting, and creative spirit to the next level. Crafting my own handmade items, such as needlepoint canvases and candles for our online store, inspires a sense of joy and fulfillment. All canvases and candles are handmade in-house in our Oklahoma studio space.
Daily Life:
Downtime is dedicated to personal projects such as interior design, DIY home improvements, gardening, and landscaping. Otherwise, you can find me playing instruments, singing, painting, dancing, or stitching a needlepoint WIP (work-in-progress). I'm passionate about enjoying all that this beautiful life has to offer! Cooking plant-based food, tending to my houseplants, and spending time with animals are some of my favorite things. Above all, I treasure time spent with my family and cherished friends. I feel fortunate to work with such amazing individuals, whether while capturing gorgeous photos or through Studio 97. Future customers, clients, and friends alike, I can't wait to connect with you through creativity!
